Several cabins advertise that they are secluded and private but we have yet to find one remotely similar to Moonshine Cabin. In the winter time you may see a roof or two in the distance but in the summer about the only thing you will see is the owner of Wonder Works home on top of cove mountain. It is so far away it is difficlut to see.
The cabin sits close to the peak of the mountain. The drive way is up a tenth of the mile from the road below. The deck faces Mt. Leconte, Cove Mountain and English Mountain to the east. If you hiked up behind the cabin you could see Pigeon Forge and Bluff Mountains.
What is nice about this cabin besides the private and secluded feeling is that it is within a couple miles of all the attractions in the area. So close in fact, that you can hear the train whistle blow at Dollywood.
You can click the guest book link above to read the comments of some of our guests. The private and secluded feeling you get when visiting this cabin is very relaxing. It is a feeling of being at peace with nature. At night time there is not any city lights, because of the darkness we added deck lights. They are easily turned off if you want to sit in the hot tub and watch a meteor shower or bring your telescope and star gaze.
